* Annette was one of the original Mouseketeers in the popular 1955 show "The Mickey Mouse Club".

* Most of the original cast of the "Mickey Mouse Club" faded from the spotlight but Annette went on to become a recording artist & movie star.

* Annette married Jack Gilardi in 1965. They were divorced in 1981.

* Annette has 3 children from her first marriage.

* In the 1960's she appeared with teen idol Frankie Avalon in a series of very popular beach party films.

* In 1986 Annette married Glen Holt. She is still married to him to this day.

* In 1987 she re-teamed with former co-star Frankie Avalon in the comedy "Back To The Beach". This movie was a hilarious parody of the earlier beach films she made in the 1960's.

* Sadly, in 1987 Annette was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

* In 1995 there was a televison film made about her life entitled "Dream is A Wish Your Heart Makes: The Annette Funicello Story".

* In November 1999, Annette underwent surgery to slow down tremors caused by multiple sclerosis.

* She has set up the Annette Funicello fund for people with neurological disorders.

* Today, Annette has a collectible bear business & her own line of perfumes.
