Julie Andrews makes her film debut in this highly acclaimed Disney classic, for which she won the Academy Award for best actress. "Mary Poppins" also won Oscars for best visual effects, best film editing, best music score & best song "Chim Chim Cher-ee". Set in 1910 London, "Mary Poppins" tells the story of two bankers children who lose their nanny due to their misbehaviour. A new nanny arrives in the form of the umbrella wielding, Andrews. The film is a much loved Disney classic, its success can attributed to outstanding performances from the cast & a memorable music score including "A Spoonful of Sugar", "Jolly Holiday", "I Love to Laugh", "Chim-Chim-Cheree, & "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious". "Mary Poppins" was a huge box office success, grossing over $100 million in the US & today it is still as popular as it was on its initial release due to its availability on video & DVD.
