"The Odd Couple" is the comedy smash based on Neil Simon's hilarious play about two miss-matched buddies who become roommates. The film is a joy to watch and after all these years it has lost none of its charm. Jack Lemmon as Felix the neurotic & Walter Matthau as Oscar the slob are perfectly suited to their characters. The film was so popular that it is inspired a very successful television series in the 1970's starring Tony Randall and Jack Klugman as Felix and Oscar. In the 1980's a short-lived African American version was also launched starring Ron Glass and Desmond Wilson. After 30 years Jack and Walter re-teamed again to play the characters that made them famous, in the big-screen sequel, "The Odd Couple 2" (1998). The duo was still in remarkable form, possessing that precision timing that is crucial to the success of any comedy act. "The Odd Couple" & "The Odd Couple 2" are perfect examples of good old-fashioned comedic entertainment.
