* He spent the first eight years of his life in California before returning to Canada were he was born.

* He was only 11 years old when he decided that he wanted to become an actor.

* His mother is a casting director. She took him to his first audition hoping to discourage him, but instead he won a part in a commercial for Keebler's potato chips. He has never looked back since continuing to work in television, theater & now feature films.

* 1998 was the year of "Dawson's Creek" a big year for Joshua. It was his first major starring role in a television series. His character Pacey became popular the world over, particularly with young teenage girls.

* During the first season of "Dawson's Creek he was James Van Der Beek's roommate. He also dated his co-star Katie Holmes. Katie has always claimed that he was her first love.

* In 1999 he was chosen as one of Teen People Magazine's "21 Hottest Stars Under 21"

* In 2000 he starred in two big-screen teen thrillers "The Skulls" & "Gossip.". In "Gossip" he co- starred with Goldie Hawn's daughter Kate Hudson.

* Joshua has also dated "Joe Dirt" star Brittany Daniel.

* In 2001 he dated "Save The Last Dance", star Julia Stiles.

* Next up for Josh is the crime comedy "Lone Star State Of Mind" co-starring Road Trip's Dj Qualls and Pearl Harbour's James King.
