When Glenn Morris was cast in "Tarzan's Revenge", he became yet another Olympic athlete to take on the role of everybody's favourite jungle hero. "Tarzan's Revenge" has the honour of having more than one Olympic champion in the cast. While Glenn Morris was the 1936 Olympic decathlon winner, his Jane, Eleanor Holm was also an Olympic champion in her own right. She won the 1932 Olympic gold medal for swimming in the 100-meter backstroke event. This rip-roaring, action adventure yarn sees Tarzan come up against an evil African ruler who wants to take Jane and include her in his harem. Viewers are treated to action, excitement and thrills all the way in this early, black and white Tarzan flick that tried very hard to rival the 1930's jungle king Johnny Weissmuller.
