John, Paul, George & Ringo star as themselves, they are in their prime & at the top of their game in this rollicking musical extravaganza, featuring a thundering soundtrack of non-stop hits. " A Hard Day's Night" was a unique film in its day & is credited by many as being the first major motion picture to present music sequences in a form similar to today's popular MTV style music videos. "A Hard Day's Night" was certainly ahead of its time, thanks to Richard Lester's superb direction & The Beatles' groundbreaking new musical style. The film can be best described as a musical comedy. The Beatles proved that they were not only excellent musicians but also clever comedians. Paul's grandfather who is played delightfully by Wilfrid Brambell however, generates the main laughs.
