* Neve is her mother's maiden name.

* Her mother is Dutch & her father is Scottish.

* Neve started dancing when she was six years old. She learned several different forms including jazz, flamenco, modern, hip-hop & classical ballet.

* When Neve's mother & father divorced in 1975, she moved to Toronto, Canada to live with her father.

* Neve has 3 brothers, one older and two younger.

* Neve is an Italian word meaning "snow".

* At age 9 Neve joined the National Ballet School of Canada.

* Neve went to Lorne Park high school where her father was a drama teacher.

* In the early 90's she appeared as a ballerina in the Toronto production of the Broadway Musical "Phantom of the Opera".

* Neve's big break came in 1994 when she landed a role on the televison series "Party of Five".

* In 1996 she played the lead in the popular teen slasher flick "Scream". The film was such a success that it led to two sequels, Scream 2 (1997) & Scream 3 (2000). She reprised her role in both sequels.

* She was married to actor Jeffrey Colt between the 3rd April 1995 - 8th May 1998.

* Neve turned down the role in Armageddon (1998) because of scheduling conflicts with her televison show "Party of Five".
