* Rachael is left handed and is a vegetarian.
* Rachael has a younger brother named Ben.
* Her father is a stand-up comic & her mother is a cooking instructor.
* She began her career as a model at the tender age of 10.

* Rachael attended Minneapolis South High School, the same school as "Pearl Harbor" star Josh Hartnett.

* Rachael also became a student of the Laurel Springs School, a school for young actors who can't attend regular school due to time commitments.

* Rachael had already appeared in a number of commercials, including a famous anti-drug commercial, when in 1995 she succeeded in her first audition & won the part of a budding entrepreneur in "The Baby-Sitters Club".

* Soon after "The Baby-Sitters Club", Rachael starred alongside Jonathan Taylor Thomas in the film "Tom and Huck" (1995).

* In 1996 her modeling agency sent her to read for a short film called "26 Summer Street". She won the role & her career continued to move forward.

* During 1997 & 1998 she made a number of appearances in independent and made-for-TV movies.

* Rachael established herself as a starlet in 1999 when she appeared opposite Freddie Prinze Jr. in the teen movie "She's All That". Her on-screen transformation from ugly duckling to ravishing beauty won the film several teen-oriented awards and made Cook a hot commodity in Hollywood. Her life has never been the same since.

* Rachael also appeared in Sixpence None The Richer's music video "Kiss me" with her "She's All That" co-star Freddie Prinze Jr.

* In 2000 Rachael starred opposite Sylvester Stallone in the remake of the action thriller "Get Carter".

* In 2001 she played a frontier gal in the movie "Texas Rangers" alongside Dawson's Creek star James Van Der Beek.

* Her career was in full swing when she was paid $1,500,000 to play the lead in the live-action version of Josie and the Pussycats (2001).

* Rachael owns her own production company called Ben's Sister Productions.

* In 2001 she was reportedly dating actor Devon Sawa.

* Cook now lives in Los Angeles, but she returns home frequently to visit with friends and family.
