"She's Out Of Control" Tony's Comments:

"She's Out Of Control" is a charming, feel-good, teen movie starring TV favorite Tony Danza (Who's The Boss & Taxi) in a rare big screen outing. Danza's life is thrown into a whirlwind when his 15-year old daughter, played by Ami Dolenz (daughter of famous Monkee's rocker Mickey Dolenz) gets a complete makeover (replaces her glasses with contact lenses, has her braces removed, gets a new hairstyle & a new outfit) & boys start lining up at the front door to take her out. When Danza seeks advise from his local psychiatrist, Doctor Fishbinder (Wallace Shawn in another wacky performance) situations get out of control & so does his daughter. Look out for "Friends" star Matthew Perry as one of Ami's creepy boyfriend's. "She's Out Of Control" came at the end of the 80's teen movie craze & became an under-appreciated teen flick that deserved more recognition than it received on its initial release. Danza is in top form, the talented Dolenz is an attractive teenage lead & the supporting cast complement the comedic performances. If you missed this one at the cinema in 1989, don't let it slip away now; it is certainly worth a look at on video.
