VIDEO SYNOPSIS : One of the most controversial violence-theme films in recent movie making history.Dustin Hoffman in one of his great movie performances, plays a young mathematician who has bought a house on the coast of England, where his wife grew up. They have fled the American scene and its violent tensions without ever having tasted violence first hand, But their dreams are shattered when they discover that the violence they tried to escape from, is horribly real and closer that ever before.

The movie comes to an abstract climax when his teasing wife is raped by men from the town. Hoffman is forced to act.He erupts in vengeance and fury and actually begins tp enjoy this same violence that he was hiding from.
