TONY'S COMMENTS :
Sidney Poitier plays engineer Mark Thackeray, who accepts a teaching job at a tough London school. He is given a totally undisciplined class & comes very close to quitting, but over a period of time he is successful in earning the respect of his students. The unforgettable finale, featuring the title song sung by Lulu, puts this film head & shoulder above the rest. "To Sir With Love" is a classic film with excellent performances by all. For many years after its cinema release, it was one of the most requested films for screening on high school campuses. If you haven't seen it, don't miss it. This film is a gem.
