"The Cat From Outer Space" is Disney's comical answer to Steven Spielberg's "Close Encounter's Of The Third Kind" which was released in the previous year. The film is a campy, family, sci-fi adventure made in the days before computer generated special effects became the norm. Although "The Cat From Outer Space" was released four years before Spielberg's classic juvenile sci-fi "ET", the film's plot, surprisingly, has an uncanny similarity. Disney regulars Ken Berry & Sandy Duncan are on board to take on the feline extraterrestrial named Jake in this hilarious romp. Also, look out for Harry Morgan & McLean Stevenson of "M.A.S.H." fame in support. "The Cat From Outer Space" is another solid entry in the Disney catalog of live-action fantasy films.
