Four girls from Penmore college join the spring vacation to Florida in search of sun and sex. Lynn-Holly Johnson is looking for a "Conan The Barbarian" type; Lorna Luft wants a break from her steady boyfriend; Wendy Schaal, en-route to Bermuda, effects introductions to her wealthy young cousin; and Lisa Hartman hopes to meet up with a composer whose work she admires. That's the plan. Things work out a little differently however in practice... This is a very amusing and up-to-date American comedy brimming with funny situations, witty dialogue and rock music. Russell Todd, Howard McGillan and Christopher McDonald are among the males involved but it's the four girls who steal the show!

Four curvy college co-eds head south on a spring break trek to Ft. Lauderdale seeking fun in the sun. Carole (Lorna Luft), taking a separate vacation from her steady boyfriend, winds up as a hot contender in a “Hot Bod Contest”.. Jennie is doubly lucky, courted by both a rich classical pianist and a devil-may-care rocker. Sandra, looking for the Mr. Right who will finally satisfy her, and Laurie, who dreams of a night of unbridled passion with a real he-man, both get their wish. But with surprising results. The girls are gorgeous, the boys are built, romance is rampant, and there’s enough beer for everyone. So grab the sun tan lotion, and come on down to the sexy seashore, to WHERE THE BOYS ARE. You deserve a vacation.

The original "Where The Boys Are" (1960)  Now on DVD:
"Where The Boys Are '84" marked producer Allan Carrs' attempt to update the 1960's classic for 1980's audiences. The result was raunchier than its predecessor but lacked real substance. Unfortunately this 1984 remake is a hard film to get your hands on. At the time of writing, VHS tapes are long out of print & a DVD release is yet to be announced.
