"Deadlier Than The Male" is the first of two 1960's spy spoofs, starring British actor, Richard Johnson as secret agent "Bulldog Drummond". European babes Sylva Koscina (Hercules, Hercules Unchained) & Elke Sommer (A Shot In The Dark, The Wrecking Crew) add to the fun as two extremely dangerous & very "deadly" assassins. "Deadlier Than The Male" is considered by many to be one of the best of the spin-off spy spoofs that were produced in the 1960's to cash-in on the ever-growing James Bond phenomenon. The film features a big budget; attractive stars; plenty of action set pieces & an exciting finale that sees Bulldog Drummond face the villain (Nigel Green) on a giant-size chessboard. This entertaining spy adventure proved to be popular enough for a sequel to be produced three years later titled, "Some Girls Do" (1969).
