When his mother marries one of them, his attempts to climb the social ladder are thwarted by his stepdad. With Claudette Colbert, Karl Malden. Next, Connie Stevens shines as "Susan Slade" (1961), a naive teen who falls for a mountain climber during an Alaskan vacation.
