British tennis player, Peter Colt (Paul Bettany) is unlucky in love and in his professional life. Once a rising star, he is now near the bottom of the world tennis ranks. When he scores a wild card allowing him to play at Wimbledon, life begins to look up for Peter.

He meets and falls in love with sexy and fiery American player, Lizzie Bradbury (Kirsten Dunst) and everything changes. Reassured by his lucky break, love and improving on-court skills, Peter begins to work his way up from the bottom of the ranks. Suddenly, everyone is talking about him and he actually stands a chance of realising a lifelong dream - winning the men’s singles title! Just as long as his luck holds out.

This sweet and funny love match comes from the producers of Four Weddings and a Funeral, Notting Hill, Bridget Jones’s Diary and Love Actually. Australia’s Pat Cash serves as the movie’s tennis advisor and unprecedented access was granted to film during the championships of one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events.
