With Frankie (Frankie Avalon) away in Tahiti, the Beach Party Gang are involved in a hilarious series of adventures and mishaps. Joined by an opportunistic ad man, Peachy Keane (Mickey Rooney), a hunky newcomer, James, and a mysterious girl called Cassandra, the gang are enlisted to help in a farcical advertising stunt. Mayhem ensues as Ricky tries to seduce Frankie's girl, Dee Dee (Annette Funicello). Cassandra turns out to be a manifestation of a witch doctor (Buster Keaton). And the advertising stunt is fouled up by the evil Eric Von Zipper.
