After the success of Breakin' it was inevitable that a sequel would be made. "Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo" was released in December 1984, about 6 months after the original premiered. Although not as financially successful "Breakin 2" is equally as dynamic and is as popular today as the original blockbuster. In "Breakin 2" the three original cast members return ( Lucinda Dickey, Adolfo Quinones & Michael Chambers) together with a cavalcade of some of the world's greatest break-dancers. The film features the smash hit song "I Believe in the Beat" plus many more catchy dance numbers. Breakdancing, hip-hop, rap, and a good time are the main stars in this fantastic follow-up to the smash hit movie Breakin'. Breakin' 2 follows the story of a group of youths trying to raise money to save their community club from being destroyed and replaced by a multi-million dollar shopping mall. Ozone (Adolfo Quniones) and Turbo (Michael Chambers) are two master breakdancers who have started a community club to teach other teens how to manage the acrobatics of the dance without literally breaking anything!

But an evil developer (Peter Maclean) sees their property as an ideal location for a shopping mall project - and a crooked politician is willing to back him for a fee. As the teens do their best to raise money to keep their centre alive, some of them are also battling with restrictive parents or trying to ease into romantic liaisons that offer their own interesting challenges. In this great sequel, original cast member's return for a breakdancing fundraiser to save the local community centre. As the name suggests, Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo had as much breakin' as the original, but with even more electric boogaloo. All breakin' fanatics will simply love this one.
